The thing about Apple’s MagSafe for the iPhone 12 series is that users will no longer be able to use regular PopSockets or phone grips—as they tend to obstruct a ring of magnets in the iPhone 12. However, PopSockets have introduced PopGrips that attach magnetically to MagSafe-compatible cases.
“The PopGrip for MagSafe attaches magnetically to MagSafe-compatible cases for iPhone 12 devices and features a no-slip rubber bottom and a swappable top. This grip is compatible with PopSockets PopMount 2 phone mounts, including PopMount 2 for MagSafe,” said PopSockets.
In the past, PopGrips have adhesives that are able to to attach itself to iPhones and cases. This time, PopSockets will be embracing the new MagSafe standard to make the process of adding and removing PopGrips significantly easier.
The PopGrip for MagSafe will launch in Spring 2021. PopSockets also announced a magnetic version of its PopWallet+ for Spring on 2021—which is essentially MagSafe wallet with a PopSocket built in. Like Apple’s version, it will include a shield meant to protect any cards that are liable to get erased by magnets.
Other announcements include the PopMount for MagSafe line for Summer 2021, the PopGrip Slide Stretch on 21 March 2021, and the PopGrip Slide on 1 May 2021. You can check out their other products and future products here. PopSockets are also available on Lazada.
Currently, they have PopGrip that is able to slide up and down the Magsafe-compatible phone case so that you’re able to easily charge your iPhone 12 with a Magsafe charger. You just need to take note that the PopGrips will only work for phone cases with curved edges.
