Air Selangor: Burst pipe causes water disruption in Klang, Shah Alam and Petaling

[ UPDATE 00:00 30/12/2020 ]: Air Selangor has updated that repair works were completed at 9.00pm (29th December) and they have resumed water supply at 9.30pm.

The restoration process will be carried out in stages and full water supply is expected to be restored at affected areas by 12.00pm on 30th December. More details here.

Just a week since the last major burst pipe incident, Air Selangor has announced another unscheduled water disruption which will affect several areas in the Klang Valley. The latest water disruption was caused by a burst main pipe at Bulatan Persiaran Tengku Ampuan, Section 15 in Shah Alam.

According to the initial announcement, the water works company had to shut down the water supply from 1.00pm today (29th December) to facilitate the repair works. The shut down will impact a total of 58 areas in the Klang/Shah Alam region and 72 areas in the Petaling region.

As of 3.00pm today, Air Selangor has updated that the repair works on the burst pipe is 54% complete. They expect the repairs to be completed at 9.00pm before water supply is restored to the affected areas. The recovery time will vary depending on location and distance of consumer premises.
