Zoo Negara has reopened after closing during CMCO

Zoo Negara has announced that they have reopened to the public starting 18th December after closing during the start of the CMCO in early November. According to a Zoo Negara representative, the zoo will now be opened from 9am to 4pm.

“We’re thrilled to officially announce that Zoo Negara is re-opening to everyone from Friday, 18th December 2020. Zoo Negara Malaysia is closely monitoring local developments of the pandemic COVID-19,” wrote Zoo Negara on their Facebook page.

However, based upon their current assessments, the zoo will open with a reduced capacity of 1,250 visitors at any given time. There’s no added information on if the daily ticket sales would be limited, or if they would just ask visitors to wait outside if the zoo has reached capacity.

You can purchase tickets through their website. The MyKad Family Package plus Panda Sanctuary (2 adults and 1 child) costs RM95, and a Non-MyKad Family Package plus Panda Sanctuary costs RM180. A MyKad Adult ticket plus Panda Sanctuary costs RM40.50, and a MyKad Child ticket plus Panda Sanctuary costs RM16.20.

On Klook, you can get a MyKad Adult ticket for RM39. You’ll also get reduced prices for the other packages, but they’re all subject to availability. There are also tickets sold on Lazada (RM42 for MyKad Adult), and Shopee (RM37.29 for MyKad Adult).

For more upcoming details, Zoo Negara advised to check their social media pages and their website. You can also still donate to adopt a Zoo Negara animal on Lazada and Shopee.
