The Poco M3 is launching very soon and the Xiaomi-backed brand has just revealed the exterior design in a short 6-second teaser video. This is expected to be Poco’s new entry-level smartphone for the global market and it is positioned below the current Poco X3 NFC.

As teased earlier, the Poco M3 will feature a 6.53″ display that comes with a tiny notch at the top. There’s a noticeable chin at the bottom of the screen, which isn’t surprising for a budget phone. Similar to its bigger brother, the X3 NFC, the device also gets a side-mount fingerprint sensor which also doubles as a power button.

What’s interesting is the camera bump which looks somewhat similar to the limited edition OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077. It has a rather wide black panel on the rear which has a triple-camera bump on the left, while the right gets a vertically aligned POCO branding.

Looking at the triple-camera setup, you can see one big lens for the main shooter while the other two appears to be rather small. We are hoping that there’s at least an ultra-wide-angle lens instead of just having a macro and depth sensor.

From the close up render in the video, the M3 appears to come with a faux leather back which is likely to be plastic. Similar to the X3 NFC, the new budget phone appears to offered only in 2 colours – Black and Blue.

In terms of specs, the M3 is running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor and Poco has hinted that it will come with a large 6,000mAh battery. Rumour has it that the screen will push Full HD+ resolution while the device also supports 22.5W fast charging via USB-C.

We don’t have the pricing just yet but we reckon that it should be priced well under RM800. The Poco M3 will be announced globally through a live stream that’s happening at 8pm (Malaysian time) on 24th November 2020.
