Deal: Samsung Galaxy S20 FE LTE going for RM2,299 on 11.11

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (FE) LTE version will go on sale in Malaysia very soon and it’s RM700 cheaper than the 5G variant. The first sale is happening on 11.11 and you can get an extra RM400 off during Shopee’s flash sale.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE LTE is officially priced in Malaysia at RM2,699. However, you can get it for only RM2,299 starting from 23:59pm 10th November, exclusively on the official Samsung store on Shopee.

According to the listing, there are 440 units available. The S20 FE LTE version comes in 3 colours – Lavender (230 units), Red (80 units) and Orange (130 units).

So what’s the difference versus the Galaxy S20 FE 5G which costs RM3,399? Apart from the lack of 5G support, the cheaper Galaxy S20 FE LTE variant runs on an Exynos 990 processor instead of the more favourable Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 unit. From the Shopee listing, the device still gets 8GB of RAM but you get half the internal storage at 128GB. You can still expand storage further by popping in a microSD card.

The rest of the specs remain unchanged and that includes a 6.5″ Full HD+ AMOLED display that pushes a high 120Hz refresh rate. For imaging, it gets a triple-camera setup consisting of a 12MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The punch-hole on the display houses a 32MP selfie camera.

The Fan Edition retains most of the flagship features from the Galaxy S20 series. You still get stereo speakers, IP68 rated dust and water resistance as well as support for Samsung Pay.

The device is powered by a large 4,500mAh battery which supports 25W fast charging via USB-C. However, take note that the box only includes a 15W charger.

On top of that, you also get wireless charging support as well as wireless powershare, which turns your phone into a temporary charging pad. If you need to multitask on a bigger screen, the FE also supports wireless Samsung Dex.
