Jabra adds Active Noise Cancellation to Elite 75t series earbuds via software update

Jabra has announced that its true wireless earbuds the Elite 75t series, that include both the Active and non-Active variants, will gain a new feature: Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). This will be pushed out to the earbuds via an over-the-air (OTA) firmware update.

The Elite 75t was launched back in January this year and was followed by the Elite Active 75t. The Active variant retained many of the same features but added IP57 water resistance, in April. The Elite 75t sported a radical redesign, with a smaller body that was both light and comfortable to wear.

Both versions of the Elite 75t boasted 7.5 hours of battery life on a single charge and had a combined 28 hours of use when used with the case. With the new ANC update, the earbuds are said to last 5.5 hours on a single charge with feature turned on.

So, how is Jabra able to add a new feature to an existing product line? According to the company, this was made possible because of the company’s engineering work with Qualcomm and the digital audio processor that is fitted in the Elite 75t series.

The free ANC firmware update is now available for Elite 75t series users to download via the Sound+ app (iOS/ Android). If you are wondering how you can upgrade your pair of Elite 75t earbuds, here’s a handy guide.

Once you have completed all the steps above, just enable ANC within the Sound+ app or toggle it directly from your earbuds to begin using it.

The Jabra Elite 75t series will be available for purchase with ANC as standard from October 2020 onwards. Meanwhile, the price for the Elite 75t series is as follows:

Elite 75t Titanium Black & Gold Biege –RM949

Elite 75t WLC (wireless charging) in Black – RM999

Elite Active 75t in Dark Grey, Navy, Sienna & Mint – RM999

Elite Active 75t WLC (wireless charging) in Dark Grey – RM1,049
