If you prefer to get in-store, resellers such as Machines and Switch are now accepting pre-orders. The device are also available for pre-order on Lazada’s official Apple flagship store.

According to Machines, fulfilment will begin from 21st October while Switch and Lazada mentions that fulfilment will start from 23rd October. If you don’t want to pay the full amount, you can book a unit from Switch by placing a RM300 deposit.

For those that don’t want to pay the full amount upfront, the Apple Watch cellular version will also be available through our local telcos on contract. Celcom has indicated that it will offer the Apple Watch Series 6 and SE on their network very soon. Meanwhile, Digi is now accepting pre-orders on its website and the Apple Watch SE is offered from RM38/month on its device instalment plan.

What’s new with the Series 6 and SE?

Both models come in two sizes – 40mm and 44mm. The Apple Series 6 now comes with a Blood Oxygen Sensor and it supports faster charging with 100% charge in 1.5 hours. The Apple Watch also supports Ultra Wideband for precise indoor location tracking. You still get the same top of the line features including 50-metre water resistance, high and low heart rate notification, fall detection and always-on altimeter. The watch’s hardware supports ECG but it isn’t enabled for our region.

Meanwhile, the Apple Watch SE is essentially a watered down Series 5. It looks the same but it lacks an always-on display and there’s no ECG or blood oxygen level tracking. The rest of the features remain unchanged and you still get up to 18 hours of battery life on a single charge.
