Malaysia has reported 375 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 14,368. Unfortunately, there are 5 new deaths in Sabah today and the death toll has increased to 146.
The Ministry of Health has reported 18 new recoveries today and a total of 10,519 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is currently 73.21% while the mortality rate is 1.02%.
There are now 3,703 active COVID-19 cases remaining which are isolated and receiving treatment. 60 patients are in ICU while 20 require respiratory support.
Out of the 375 cases reported today, 4 are imported while 371 are transmitted locally. 18 new cases involved individuals that have a recent travel history to Sabah.
Sabah reported the most cases at 271, followed by 36 cases in Selangor, 16 cases in Kedah and 12 cases in Kuala Lumpur. The Ministry has also identified 5 new clusters today.
