Celcom network disruption: Yoodo says sorry by offering 2GB of free data

Following yesterday’s network issue that occurred between 3pm to 6pm, Yoodo has issued a formal apology for the inconvenience caused. As a form of compensation, Yoodo is giving 2GB of free data to all active users.

According to Yoodo, this is a small token of appreciation for its customers’ continuous support and the 2GB of data will be given automatically. Users with data plans will see an additional 2GB of data, while unlimited data customers will receive the 2GB as a high-speed data booster.

Yoodo says that the free data will be credited from 6th October at 12.01am onwards. The validity for the free data will follow your current plan’s billing cycle.

During yesterday’s outage, users on Celcom’s network including MVNOs such as Tune Talk, Yoodo and XOX have faced difficulty accessing data and voice services. Celcom had offered its users free data from 6pm to 12am yesterday, while Tune Talk offered free 1GB of data that’s valid for 24 hours.
