Digi PhoneFreedom 365: The smarter phone instalment plan that gives you more

This post is brought to you by Digi.

With the need for mobile connectivity ever-increasing, many customers opt to purchase new smartphones via phone instalment plans that can offer savings—both on the price of the device, and for subscribed plans.

As such, Digi has announced the improved PhoneFreedom 365 (PF365) phone ownership programme, which now offers even more flexibility, savings, and high-speed internet data for users. Essentially, Digi says that there are four key benefits that PhoneFreedom 355 customers will enjoy:

  • Phone discounts
  • Plan discounts
  • Double the internet data
  • Free 365 Phone Protection

Here’s why Digi’s PhoneFreedom 365 offers you smarter phone instalment plans.

Save on your Postpaid plan & smartphone purchases in one plan

The idea here is to provide customers with two-fold savings—both on the price of a new smartphone, as well as the cost of your postpaid plan. For example, when you sign up for the Digi Postpaid 120 plan with PhoneFreedom 365, you save a total of RM360 over 24 months, with a monthly RM15 discount over the course of the contract.

Meanwhile, the Digi Postpaid 160 PF365 plan offers savings of RM480 over 24 months, and if you move up to the Digi Postpaid 190 plan, you’re looking at savings of RM600 over the same period of time. The higher the plan, the bigger the discounts.

So, what about savings on the retail price of the smartphone you choose? Under the PF365 plan, a variety of the latest smartphones are available at discounted prices. Monthly instalments are priced as low as RM8 per month, depending on the model—these discounts offer savings on top of the Postpaid discounts, of course.

These include monthly discounts of RM15 per month for Digi Postpaid 120, which totals to RM360 of savings on your Postpaid plan. Here’s how it works:

The standard monthly fee for Digi Postpaid 120 is RM120—which drops down to RM105, thanks to the monthly RM15 discount via PF365. Multiply this by 24 months, and you save RM360 over 24 months for your Postpaid plan.

For example, the OnePlus Nord—which has an official price tag of RM2,399—is available for monthly device instalments from RM68 under PF365. With instalments of RM68 per month after discounts, you’ll be getting total savings of RM767 over 24 months for the device.

Meanwhile, pairing that with a Digi Postpaid 120 plan under PF365, you’re looking at a total monthly bill of RM173 during the contract period.

And with the dependence on mobile connectivity continually growing, Digi is also offering PF365 customers 2X more high-speed internet data (up to 200GB) for the respective Postpaid plans. And if you plan to extend some of these benefits to family members and loved ones, supplementary lines will also share your large internet quota—for just RM38.

In a nutshell, the PhoneFreedom 365 programme offers eligible customers—both new and existing Digi postpaid users—a way to purchase the latest smartphone models without any upfront payments or interest charges. Do note that this is subject to Digi’s set of eligibility criteria.

From the 18th month of the contract, users also have the choice to upgrade to a new device for free (selected plans + devices), while PF365 subscribers of the Digi Postpaid 160 and 190 plans have the added security of free Digi Shield coverage. This will offer added peace of mind, as the 2-year device protection plan from Digi protects customers from accidental or liquid damage to their devices.

Put it this way. Digi’s new PhoneFreedom 365 programme offers MORE or everything: flexibility, high-speed internet, and of course, savings. To find out more, click here.
