Ain Edruce appointed Lazada’s Chief Discount Officer

Ahead of the 9.9 Big Brands Sale, Lazada has appointed television personality Ain Edruce as their Chief Discount Officer (CDO). According to Lazada, the role of the CDO is to participate in goods selection and bargaining to guide buyers for the upcoming big sale.

Ain Edruce will be making her debut at an O2O (Online to Offline) event at Sunway Pyramid on the 5th of September. There’s also a specially curated “Lazada Chief Discount Officer Show” for the 9.9 sale that’s happening from 6th to 8th September 2020.

Lazada Malaysia CEO Leo Chow said “Lazada’s shopping festivals, including this 9.9 Big Brands Sale, have become a key growth driver for the nation’s e-commerce space, as well as having a direct hand in revolutionising the way people shop. I am excited to welcome Ain Edruce as our CDO to bring Malaysia consumers with the best deals they look forward to.”

Lazada shoppers can tune in to the “Lazada Chief Discount Officer Show” via LazLive on the Lazada app from 6th to 8th September at 9pm to discover surprise deals and offers on selected brands and products which are only available during the live show. Those that tune in will also stand a chance to win giveaways worth up to RM20,000 and enjoy deals with discounts of up to 90% off with free shipping. Up to RM100,000 Lazada vouchers are up for grabs during the live show which can be used for discounts during 9.9.

If you prefer to watch it on the big screen, the show will also be broadcast live on TV3 on the 8th September from 9pm to 10pm.

Lazada will be kicking off its 9.9 Big Brands Sale this year with 99 Lazada exclusive brand deals. The e-commerce platform is also introducing new LazMall interactive features and interface for a premium shopping experience. Shoppers can look forward to 24 hours of non-stop promotions including Crazy Brand Mega Offers that provide discounts up to 90% as well as selected picks on RM1 Crazy Flash sale. Shoppers will also stand a chance to redeem an Oppo Reno 4 smartphone.
