Deal: Xiaomi Mi 10 with 90Hz screen and stereo speakers going for RM1,999

The Xiaomi Mi 10 is getting a significant discount in Malaysia in conjunction with its 10th anniversary sale. The Snapdragon 865 powered flagship with a 90Hz screen and dual stereo speakers can be yours for less than RM2,000. This is quite a bargain for a 2020 flagship.

The Mi 10 with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage will be going for RM1,999 which is RM800 off from its original retail price. If you need more storage, the 256GB variant is going for RM2,499 instead of its original price of RM2,999. So far there’s no mention of any offer for the higher-spec Mi 10 Pro.

If you’re interested, the sale is happening from 17th to 21st August 2020 and while stocks last. It’s available at authorised Mi Stores and on its official online store on Lazada. With this promo, the Mi 10 that comes with better hardware appears to be a better deal than the Poco F2 Pro.

Hardware specs

The Mi 10 comes with a 6.67″ Full HD+ curved AMOLED display that comes with a 90Hz refresh rate. It has a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 and a max brightness of 800 nits. The device is running on a Snapdragon 865 processor with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage which isn’t expandable.

In the camera department, it gets a 108MP main camera with OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro shooter. For selfies, the punch-hole on the display houses a 20MP front camera.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 is a 5G device that supports sub-6GHz bands and it also supports 802.11ax WiFi 6 along with Bluetooth 5.1. It also has NFC as well as dual frequency GPS support. It lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack but the Mi 10 boasts a symmetrical dual speaker setup for stereo audio playback.

The Mi 10 comes with a 4,780mAh battery which is slightly larger than the Poco F2 Pro. It supports both 30W fast wired charging via USB-C as well as 30W wireless charging. A full charge with 30W fast charging is rated at 56 minutes, while 30W wireless fast charging takes 69 minutes.
