Following the release of the Galaxy Note 20 series, Samsung Malaysia will be bringing its flagship Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ tablets to our local market very soon. The tablets run on a Snapdragon 865+ processor and feature a fluid 120Hz refresh rate display.
According to Samsung Malaysia, the Galaxy Tab S7 series will be available for purchase from 28th August onwards. Both models will be offered in three colours – Mystic Black, Mystic Silver and Mystic Bronze. There’s no pricing info at the moment and Samsung Malaysia currently only lists the Tab S7 WiFi version with 128GB of storage on its product page.
In the US, the Galaxy Tab S7 is priced from USD 649 (about RM2,720) for the WiFi version while the 5G variant starts from USD 849 (about RM3,559). For the bigger Tab S7+, it starts from USD 849 (about RM3,559) for the WiFi version and from USD 1,049 (about RM4,397) for the 5G variant.
The S Pen stylus is included but the Book Cover Keyboard is sold separately.
As a quick recap, the S7 features a 11″ LTPS LCD display (2560×1600 pixels) while the S7+ gets a larger 12.4″ AMOLED panel (2800×1752 pixels) with HDR10+. Both are Samsung’s first tablets with a 120Hz refresh rate and it still retains a quad-speaker setup that are tuned by AKG.
The S Pen is now improved with a low latency of 9ms just like the Note 20 Ultra and you can charge it by attaching it magnetically to the back of the tablet. Depending on the specs, it can be configured with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The tablet also supports storage expansion via microSD card.
In the camera department, it has a dual-camera setup at the rear with a 13MP main shooter and an 5MP ultra-wide-angle camera. For selfies or video calls, the front has a 8MP selfie shooter.
Powering the smaller S7 is a 8,000mAh battery while the larger S7+ gets a 10,090mAh unit. Both supports 45W Super Fast Charging via USB-C. The S7+ gets an in-display fingerprint sensor while the S7 gets a side-mounted unit since it isn’t using an AMOLED screen.
