When Samsung Malaysia revealed its pre-order promo for the Galaxy Note 20 series, it only came with either the Galaxy Buds Live or the Galaxy Buds+. Turns out several retailers are offering more freebies that are worth over RM1,000 in total.

As spotted on Harvey Norman, Senheng, Lazada and Shopee, the new Note 20 flagships also come with an additional UV Steriliser and a convertible wireless charger. Interestingly, the extra freebies were not mentioned by Samsung’s press announcement and they are also not listed on their pre-order page.

To recap, the Galaxy Note 20 LTE is priced at RM3,899 while the 5G variant is going for RM4,299. As a pre-order promo, you’ll receive the Galaxy Buds+, a wireless charger and the UV steriliser worth up to RM1,107 in total. For the top-of-the-line Galaxy Note 20 Ultra that’s priced at RM5,199, you’ll receive the latest Galaxy Buds Live, a wireless charger and UV steriliser worth up to RM1,207 in total.

Pre-orders are currently running until the 20th of August and the Galaxy Note 20 series will go on sale officially on the 21st August 2020.

Samsung UV Steriliser + Wireless charging

The Samsung UV Steriliser is officially priced at RM299 and it comes with a built-in wireless charger. Using a UV-C light, it is said to kill up to 99% of harmful germs and bacteria including E.coli, Staphylococcus and Candida albicans. To clean your device, just place it into the box, close the lid and press the power button to disinfect for 10 minutes.

The steriliser also doubles as a wireless charger that comes with a 10W rating. It uses Qi Wireless standard and you can use it to charge newer iPhone models with wireless charging support. Apart from disinfecting your phone, you can also use it to sterilise your personal items such as glasses and accessories.

9W Wireless Charger Convertible

The next freebie is a wireless charger convertible which retails for RM209. Using a detachable kickstand, you can charge your devices upright or while lying flat. According to Samsung, it has two charging coils which enables it to charge your phone in either landscape or portrait mode.

The charger which supports Qi wireless standard pushes a maximum power of 9W and you can also use it to charge Apple devices that support wireless charging up to 7.5W. When used with a Galaxy S10 or newer device, the charger can intelligently disable fast wireless charging when it’s bedtime and the LED indicator light will be dimmed for a better sleep.
