Maxis offers “Buy 1 Free 1” Deal for Huawei P40 and P40 Pro

The Huawei’s flagship P40 series smartphones possess some of the best cameras you can find on a smartphone. Now Maxis is making the prospect of owning not one but two Huawei flagship smartphones a reality with its Buy 1, Free 1 deal starting from 24 July 2020 onwards.

The mechanics of Maxis’ latest deal is similar to their previous deal with the Huawei P30 series last year. Under the terms and conditions for the deal, the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro need to be purchased with a 2-year Maxis Zerolution plan to get two devices with an instalment from as low as RM130/month.

Under Maxis’ Zerolution plan, there is no upfront payment for the device and payment is made on the customer’s next bill. Also, monthly instalments for the device will be made through a customer’s Maxis Bill with no added interest.

The Huawei P40 has a 6.1” OLED display with 2340×1080 pixels resolution. It comes powered by a Kirin 990 5G processor with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It boasts a triple camera setup that is comprised of a 50MP f/1.9 main camera, a 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle shooter and an 8MP f/2.4 telephoto camera with 3X optical zoom.

You can get two Huawei P40 units at RM130/month when you subscribe to Maxis Postpaid 188 and a Share-line on Zerolution with a 24-month contract. In total that would cost you RM366/month (RM130 for the device + RM188 for postpaid plan + RM48 for the supplementary line).

If you prefer a smartphone with more versatile photographic options, then the Huawei P40 Pro may be more suited for you. You get a 6.58” OLED display with 2640 x 1200 pixels resolution, complemented by a 90Hz refresh rate. Similarly, it runs on a Kirin 990 5G processor and gets 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It retains the same 50MP f/1.9 main camera though it gains a higher resolution 40MP f/1.8 ultra-wide-angle shooter. It also has a higher resolution 12MP f/3.4 telephoto periscope shooter with 5x optical zoom supported by Optical Image Stabilisation.

Two Huawei P40 Pro units can be yours for as low as RM190/month with a subscription to Maxis Postpaid 188 together with a Share-line on a 24-month contract. All in, the total cost of owning the two will come up to RM426/ month (RM190 for the device + RM188 for a postpaid plan + RM48 for the supplementary line).

Below are the bundled contract pricing for the phones.
