COVID-19: Malaysia records just 2 new cases today, 1 new death recorded

Malaysia records further decline in new COVID-19 cases today. The Ministry of Health has reported two new cases which brings the total number of infections to 8,338. Unfortunately, there’s one new death recorded and the death toll is currently 118.

There are 39 new recoveries today, and a total of 7,014 patients have recovered and discharged so far. Malaysia’s recovery rate is currently 84.12% while the mortality rate is 1.42%.

At the moment, there are still 1,206 active cases remaining which are isolated and still receiving treatment. 5 are in ICU while no cases require respiratory support.

Out of the 2 local cases, one is imported from Singapore and another is a local case involving a foreigner. Today marks the second day without a new local case involving a Malaysian citizen.
