MyEG has launched a new portal which serves as an alternative channel for employers in Malaysia to register and schedule COVID-19 testing for their workforce under the SOCSO Prihatin Screening Programme. The PSP program was recently expanded to include more COVID-19 screening service providers.

The Human Resources Ministry through SOCSO has announced that employers eligible under the Prihatin Screening Programme will receive provide a subsidy of RM150 for each COVID-19 screening carried out on workers who are SOCSO contributors. For workers who are non-contributors and not eligible for the subsidy, the screening can still be arranged at a cost of RM150 per test.

MyEG with its partnership with a panel of approved clinics, will enable companies to request for screening that would be conducted on-site at their premises by medical practitioners. According to the FAQ, it uses antigen testing which requires a swab to be done. The samples will be sent to certified labs to be processed.

The FAQ states that with this arrangement, workers are not required to visit a clinic as the test can be done on-site. However, this is only offered for companies with more than 50 eligible employees. It added that a separate travelling charge depending on location would apply for companies with less than 50 eligible employees.

After the screening is complete, each worker will be issued a QR code-based digital certificate on a mobile application developed by MyEG. The company says this will serve as proof of testing which is recognised by the Ministry of Human Resources.

It added that the data from the one-stop portal on the screening of workers will be shared with the Ministry to enable monitoring and enforcement activities to be carried out more effectively. For more info, you can visit the portal and check out their FAQ.
