Acer’s new AOpen budget monitors are a steal, prices start from RM289

Acer has introduced a trio of new monitors under its AOpen sub-brand. Designed with affordability in mind, the new range consists of the budget-friendly 22CV1Q and 24CL1Y models as well as the gamer-friendly 27HC5RP.

AOpen 27HC5RP

Let us start with the feature packed 27HC5RP which comes with a price of RM699. Designed primarily for gamers, you get plenty of bang for your buck from this 27″ Full HD (FHD) VA panel curved monitor. The curved screen offers a larger field of view compared to flat screens, making it more comfortable to view and provide greater immersion.

Competitive gamers can enjoy ultra smooth and blur-free gaming with the monitor’s blazing fast refresh 144Hz rate that can be overclocked up to 165Hz. The addition of AMD FreeSync technology allows the monitor to sync with your computer’s graphics card to eliminate screen tearing.

If you are rocking a multi-monitor setup at your desk, the 27HC5RP’s ZeroFrame design allows you to seamless combine the screen real-estate of two monitors placed side-by-side. The monitor also has a Vesa mount on the back giving you the option to mount it on a flexible ergonomic arm.

The 27HC5RP comes with plenty of ports to connect multiple devices. On the monitor, you will find a DisplayPort, two HDMI ports and an audio jack for connecting speakers or your favourite pair of headphones.

AOpen 22CV1Q and 24CL1Y

AOpen’s two other models, the entry-level 22CV1Q and its slightly larger cousin, the 24CL1Y both feature BlueLight Shield and Flicker-less technology that lowers blue light exposure and eliminates screen flickering. These features definitely will come in handy in relieving eye strain as we spend more hours in front of our computer screens working or studying.

The 22CV1Q features a 21.5″ FHD VA panel and only costs RM289. If you need something bigger, there is the 24CL1Y, a 23.8″ FHD IPS display with a price tag of RM379. Both monitors come with a VGA and HDMI port to connect with your devices.

You won’t have to wait long to get your hands on these monitors as they will be available from 5 June onwards. In conjunction with the introduction of AOpen in Malaysia, authorised resellers will reward customers with free gifts such as wired mice and vacuum flasks from 5 June to 12 June, as long as stocks last.

Acer is also conducting a 9-hour Shocking Sale on Shopee with limited units of the AOpen 22CV1Q at RM40 off and AOpen 24CL1Y at RM50 off. The Shopee Shocking Sale will take place at 12 midnight on 7 June 2020. Units purchased via the Shocking Sale will not come with the earlier mentioned free gifts.

For more information go to Acer’s official online store or Shopee.
