For most of us, owning a Lamborghini—any Lamborghini—is a dream that’s destined to stay that way. The Sian FKP 37 was announced towards the tail-end of 2019, the first supercapacitor-based hybrid V12 from the Italian supercar makers, at a mouth-watering price of US$3.7 million (~RM16 million).
But say your budget doesn’t quite reach those astronomical heights, and you’re still looking to have one of these beauties parked in your driveway; this could be a decent compromise (not really). However, you’re going to need to spend a substantial amount of time “setting up” this particular version of the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37.
Lego has announced the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 Technic set, which retails for US$379.99 (~RM1.6K), and has 3,696 pieces for you to fit together. The replica kit is the latest in Lego’s Technic range, which are detailed kits with “advanced, real-life functions”. These have been around for some time now, and the latest Lamborghini kit looks like a pretty good recreation of the fierce-looking Lamborghini.
Lego has included some real-life features into the Sian FKP 37 kit, including an 8-speed transmission and a tiny moving paddle gearshift. There’s also a movable rear spoiler, disc brakes, golden rims, and a front and rear hood that can be opened.
And of course, what modern day Lamborghini—even Lego Technic versions—is complete without scissor doors? The aim, after all, is to get as close as possible to the real thing:
“With an 8-speed sequential transmission, movable rear spoiler, opening front and rear hood, detailed disc brakes and golden rims, this LEGO® Technic™ set brings you closer than ever to the real Lamborghini Sián FKP 37.”
Lego also says that the mini Lamborghini will have a decorative display plate to add to the realism, as well as a unique serial number that can be used to unlock exclusive online content.
The actual, driveable, US$3.7 million Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 was released with limited units available—but this doesn’t apply to Lego’s version. Instead, the Lego Technic version will be available on Lego’s official website on the 1st of June 2020.
So if you’re keen to have a bright, dazzling, lime green Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 sitting in your driveway? This might be the one for you.
You might have to get a much smaller driveway, though.
