Interested? Here’s everything you need to know.

Price and availability

The Honor X10 5G is now available for pre-orders in China, with sales to officially start from the 26th of May 2020. There are three colour options to choose from: Probing Black, Racing Blue, and Lightspeed Silver.

Three variants with different memory configurations are available:

Honor X10 5G – 6GB RAM, 64GB storage – CNY1,899 (~RM1,163)
Honor X10 5G – 6GB RAM, 128GB storage – CNY2,199 (~RM1,346)
Honor X10 5G – 8GB RAM, 128GB storage – CNY 2,399 (~RM1,468)

At the moment, we don’t have any confirmation on when the device will arrive in Malaysian markets. Stay tuned on SoyaCincau.com for any future updates on this.

Specs

The Honor X10 5G is powered by the Kirin 820 5G chipset, which means that all variants have support for 5G connectivity. You get up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which can be expanded to 256GB via NM card.

To sustain the device, there’s a 4,300mAh battery which can be charged at 22.5W with Honor’s Super Flash Charge fast-charging via USB-C.

Perhaps it’s the display of the device that gets the most attention here, with the Honor X10 featuring a 90Hz high refresh rate screen. That’s all the rage for mobile devices these days, and this is an expected move from the Chinese company.

It’s a fairly large display too: 6.63″, to be exact. This pushes a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, although you should note that it is not an AMOLED display—instead, Honor has included an IPS LCD display with a 92% screen-to-body ratio.

The screen is totally unencumbered, with Honor choosing to utilise a pop-up camera mechanism to avoid any notches on front of the device. That houses a 16MP front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies.

On the rear of the device, you get a triple camera setup comprising a 40MP f/1.8 main camera, an 8MP f/2.4 ultra-wide shooter, and a 2MP f/2.4 macro lens. The main shooter also features an RYYB filter, which should help for low-light photography.

Meanwhile, the Honor X10 runs on Magic UI 3.1.1, which is based on Android 10. It’s worth noting—in case you didn’t already know—that the Honor X10 5G will probably not have support for Google Mobile Services (GMS) when/if globally available, due to parent company Huawei’s ongoing issues with the U.S. government.
