Proton offers RM500 fuel card for e-hailing car buyers

Proton has announced a new promotion for licensed e-hailing drivers. The national carmaker is now offering a Petronas fuel gift card worth RM500 to incentivise car buyers to perform their duties.

According to Proton, this promotion is applicable for the Proton Persona, Iriz, Exora, Saga and the Proton X70 that are purchased from authorised Proton sales outlets. Customers can choose to get the RM500 fuel card or opt for a RM500 price rebate.

The campaign will run until 31st December 2020 and there are also additional rebates being offered on selected models ranging from RM300 to RM1,500. To be eligible, e-hailing drivers will need to submit a copy of a valid PSV e-hailing license as proof and register the vehicle under their own name.

Proton is also open to individuals purchasing the car to be used for e-hailing by a different driver. For example, the car is purchased under the wife’s name and the e-hailing driver is the husband. To do this, a letter of consent stating that purpose of the purchase is required along with the full name and IC number of the e-hailing driver, together with a copy of the PSV e-hailing license.

Proton says the programme is designed to ease the decision-making process for those who are new to the industry as well as current e-hailing drivers who are looking to replace their existing cars. Those that are interested may contact the nearest Proton Edar outlet or reach out to proton by email at corporatesales@proton.com.
