Celcom: 100,000 free phones up for grabs with Mega Lightning postpaid plans

As Malaysians prepare for a unique Hari Raya, Celcom has announced several promotions to coincide with the holy month of Ramadan and the upcoming celebrations. According to an official statement from the company, the idea is to enable Malaysians with content, information, packages, and tips, with a landing page set up as a dashboard for Raya.

One of the highlights of the telco’s Ramadan campaign is the 100,000 free smartphones that are up for grabs (until 31 July 2020) for customers when singing up for Celcom’s Mega Lightning postpaid plans. Options include the Samsung Galaxy A71 for Mega Lightning XL plans, or the iPhone 7 Plus 128GB under the same plan.

However, it’s worth noting that customers who are not eligible for a waiver will be required to pay an upfront payment (up to RM1,100 for the iPhone 7 Plus). Additionally, those who meet the criteria are required to register at Celcom Bluecube or certified partners for RM0 upfront payment.

Waivers will be granted based on certain criteria:

Additionally, Celcom is also organising an online sales event called #CelcomSale, which will be broadcast live over Celcom’s Facebook page. Limited one-time deals will be offered via the sale, with up to 60% discounts, RM50 vouchers, and more on offer. The first live stream was hosted by Saharul Ridzwan on 1 May 2020, with more celebrities hosts expected for future online sales.

Celcom’s special offers for all their postpaid and prepaid customers are as follows:

  • From 1 May–24 June 2020, dial *118*9# for 1 week free trial access to Muslim Kids TV, three Ramadan or Raya tunes, and more.
  • Until 31 May 2020, get 50% off Celcom Mega and family lines postpaid bills for three months. This rebate is applicable for new Celcom Mega registrations on the Celcom Online Shop.
  • Until the 31st of December 2020, online prepaid internet passes will have 10% cashback until 31 December 2020.
