Vivo V19 Malaysia: Everything you need to know

The Vivo V19 is a brand new premium mid-range smartphone from Vivo and it boasts a new camera system, fast charging and a Super AMOLED display. On top of that, the smartphone features a big emphasis on low-light photography. Here is everything you need to know about this handset in Malaysia.

Pricing & availability

The Vivo V19 will be priced at RM1,699 and will be available for purchase from the 29th of April 2020 on the Vivo official store as well as Shopee. If you pick them up there, you’ll receive an RM50 instant rebate, 1+1 year extended warranty, 1 year screen protection warranty as well as a Vivo V19 gift box worth RM459.

Pre-orders are available on SenQ and SenHeng from today, the 23rd of April 2020 until the 25th of April 2020. During the pre-order promotion, they will be offering a free extra 1-year warranty and 1-year screen protection. On top of that, SenQ will be offering free gifts worth over RM600, which includes a Vivo Giftbox, True Wireless earbuds and a Vivo bottle. You can also pay via an easy pay plan at RM70.79/month for 24 months.

If you miss the pre-order period, you can also purchase the smartphone directly from SenHeng and SenQ from the 26th-30th of April 2020 and receive free gifts worth RM300, including a 1-year extended warranty, plus get it on a 24-month easy payment plan.

Alternatively, you can also get it through the Lazada pre-sale where you can get gifts worth more than RM548 that include a Vivo V19 gift box, an RM50 voucher as well as exteded 1-year warranty and 1-year screen crack warranty. This pre-sale promotion will run from the 23rd-25th of April 2020.

Vivo is also offering the smartphone through Digi and Celcom (from the 24th of April), as well as Citibank and the Aeon Credit Service. The device will then hit shelves in stores on the 29th of April 2020.

Vivo V19 specs

Vivo’s new smartphone features a 6.44″ Super AMOLED display up front that pushes a Full HD+ resolution. Inside, the smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor that’s mated to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. If that’s not enough, you can expand it further with a microSD card slot. Since it features a triple slot tray, you can also have two SIM cards and a microSD card all at the same time.

Keeping the lights on, the Vivo V19 features a 4,500 mAh battery that charges via USB-C. On top of that, the smartphone supports Vivo’s 33W FlashCharge 2.0 fast-charging technology so you can get up to a 54% charge in 30 minutes.

For photos, the handset features a quad camera system with a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro camera. On top of that, the smartphone features a dedicated night mode for low-light photos. Up front, you’ve got a 32MP+8MP dual camera housed in the punch hole at the top right of the smartphone.

As far as software is concerned, the Vivo V19 comes running Android 10 with FunTouch OS on top. The smartphone will come in two colours, Sleek Silver and Gleam Black.
