As Malaysia is battling the COVID-19 pandemic, Proton wants to support our medical frontliners by providing vehicles to assist them with their duties. 50 units of their Proton X70 SUVs have been handed over to the Ministry of Health.
According to Proton, the vehicles will be primarily used to transport our medical heroes to and from work, as well as to visit any hotspots in the country that are in need of urgent attention.
Other corporations have also chipped in to assist our medical frontliners. Celcom has supplied SIM cards with bundled calls and data to the Ministry of Health and they have set up mobile base stations to boost connectivity at Hospital Sungai Buloh. Meanwhile, Boost has introduced its Tabung COVID-19 where eWallet users can help contribute funds that will be channelled to the Ministry of Health to purchase medical equipment and necessities.
