Malaysia is also increasing its COVID-19 testing capabilities and 10 labs will be prepared by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. According to MOH Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, the ministry have also provided mobile labs to enable testing at COVID-19 hotspots. He added that the 10 additional labs which consist of institutions of higher learning, university teaching hospitals and one mobile lab can help perform 42,420 tracking tests per month.

Globally there are over 600,000 cases worldwide and close to 31,000 deaths recorded so far. Since a few days ago, China no longer has the most cases. Based on the Johns Hopkins tracker, there are now over 120,000 cases in the US, followed by Italy at over 92,000 cases. China currently has slightly more than 82,000 cases and it is followed closely by Spain which now has over 73,000 cases.
