MCO: All Maxis stores closed temporarily but here’s how you can get help

Amidst the movement control order which is set to last until 31st of March 2020, only essential stores are up and running. This includes banks, ATMs, pharmacies, supermarkets, clinics and wet markets. Non-essential stores are required to be closed temporarily.

While Maxis as a telecommunications provider is considered as an essential service during the MCO, they have decided to close all of its stores temporarily and this includes their Maxis Centres and Maxis Exclusive Partners. However, they will continue to serve their customers via different channels. Their self-service kiosks will remain available 24 hours for bill payments, SIM card replacements and pre-paid top-ups.

Customer care service is also available by dialling 123 or 1-800-82-1123, or you can choose the live chat option on their website. Applications like MyMaxis, HOTLINK Red and Flex apps are still available and they are still operating normally during this period. Customers can manage their account, view bills and purchase reloads via the apps.

Here are the locations of the self-service kiosks in all states:

During the two-week restricted movement period, Maxis assures that all of its fixed and mobile networks will continue to run uninterrupted. Maxis’ Business Continuity Plan (BCP) now includes the requirement for employees to work from home starting 17th March. They have also added measures to ensure those working from home are well equipped to continue business as usual.
