Acer has introduced a new gaming laptop that’s powered by a quad-core AMD Ryzen 7 processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics. Officially priced at RM2,999, this Acer Nitro 5 is one of the most affordable gaming options available in Malaysia.

The Nitro 5 (AN515-43-R3B4) runs on a Ryzen 7 3750H processor with 4GB of DDR4 RAM, which is upgradable up to 32GB. The laptop comes with 512GB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage and you can expand further with its additional m.2 slot and HDD upgrade kit.

The Nitro 5 also gets a 15.6″ Full HD IPS display that pushes a high 120Hz refresh rate and it boasts an 80% screen-to-body ratio. For a more immersive audio experience, the gaming laptop is also paired with Waves MaxAudio sound optimisation with Acer TrueHarmony. With a single press of the NitroSense hotkey, users can get a glance of the laptop’s component temperature, loading performance, power usage and more.

To keep things cool during intensive gaming sessions, the laptop also features Acer CoolBoost technology that uses a dual-fan exhaust port to increase fan speed by 10% while improving CPU and GPU cooling by 9%. The Nitro 5 is also equipped with an array of ports including HDMI 2.0 and USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 1.

The laptop comes with 2-years local Acer Warranty and it runs on Microsoft Windows 10 Home out of the box. Overall it weighs 2.2kg and has a thickness of 25.9mm.
