Time offers gaming routers and Mesh WiFi options for new broadband users

Usually, when you sign up for a new fibre broadband plan, the bundled free router isn’t powerful enough to fulfil your connectivity needs. Now Time broadband is giving new customers the option to switch to a better solution and they are offering a variety of gaming routers and Mesh WiFi options from D-Link, ASUS, Linksys and TP-Link.

Home Routers

For home users on 100Mbps and 300Mbps plan, Time usually bundles the TP-Link EC 230 while 1Gbps customers are getting the D-Link DIR-882. If you need something better, you can switch to a D-Link DIR-882 for RM350 or an ASUS AC86U gaming router for RM699. The insane-looking ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 with WiFi 6 support is also available for RM1,809. The Linksys Velop is offered at RM649 for one node and RM1,199 for two nodes.

If all you need is to increase your WiFi coverage, they are offering the AirTies Air 4830 for RM579 for 2 nodes or the TP-Link Deco P9 for RM719 for 2 nodes. All devices come with a 2-year warranty.

To recap, Time’s 100Mbps fibre broadband plan for home users is priced at RM99/month while the 500Mbps plan is offered at RM139/month. The top of the line 1Gbps option is going for RM199/month. These prices are based on a 24-month contract period but you can switch to a contract-free option by paying a one-time charge of RM400-RM500.

Business Users

For business users, the router selection is different. The first upgrade option is the D-Link DIR-2660 at RM449 and if you need to expand your WiFi coverage, they are offering the Linksys Velop at RM649 for one node or RM1,199 for 2 nodes.

If you have a large business that needs to connect up to 100 concurrent users, Time is offering the D-Link DSR-1000AC for RM1,199. To recap on the fibre business subscription plans, 20Mbps is offered at RM238/month, 50Mbps at RM338/month and 100Mbps at RM398/month.
