Lembaga Zakat Selangor appoints U Mobile’s GoPayz as their first eWallet payment channel

GoPayz, the eWallet by U Mobile, is the first eWallet in Malaysia that allows easy fulfilment of their zakat obligation to Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS). Customers can fulfil their obligation such as their Zakat Pendapatan, Zakat Perniagaan, Zakat Simpanan, Zakat Saham, Zakat KWSP, Zakat Emas, Zakat Perak, Qadha Zakat, Zakat Fitrah and Zakat Harta via the GoPayz app or website.

Wong Heang Tuck, the Group CEO of U Mobile Group shared that the provision of zakat fulfilment is in line with GoPayz’s goal to be more than just an eWallet but also serves as a platform that provides greater access to digital financial and lifestyle services. U Mobile is proud to be picked as the first eWallet channel for Lembaga Zakat Selangor and this gives them the opportunity to facilitate GoPayz’s customers’ annual zakat obligation in a safe and secured digital ecosystem.

To fulfil your zakat obligation, just launch the GoPayz app or visit GoPayz.com.my, go to Services > Islamic, then select Lembaga Zakat Selangor under the Zakat section. You will then be directed to Lembaga Zakat Selangor’s website where you will be required to fill up the necessary details to complete the transaction.

From the GoPayz app, it appears that zakat fulfilment for MAIPk and PPZ-MAIWP will be coming soon.
