The Huawei Mate 30 Pro is now open for public pre-order and you can collect it as early as 11 November. It appears that you might not need a special code to get the Mate 30 Pro. Retailer Mobile2Go currently has stocks available which you can buy right away. On top of that, they are throwing additional freebies for the flagship quad-camera device.
According to the retailer, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro on sale is the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant which retails for RM3,899. If you purchase it from them, they are giving away a case, a wireless charger, 10,000mAh power bank, a 10L backpack and a 3-in-1 premium gift box. You may contact them directly to secure a unit.
To recap, the Mate 30 Pro features a 6.53″ Full HD+ OLED display and it runs on a Kirin 990 processor with 8GB RAM along with 256GB storage. In Malaysia, we are getting the 4G LTE model.
For taking pictures, it has four cameras at the rear featuring a 40MP f/1.6 main camera, a 40MP f/1.8 ultra-wide-angle camera, an 8MP telephoto lens and a 3D ToF sensor. The wide notch upfront houses a 32MP f/2.0 shooter.
Powering the device is a large 4,500mAh that supports both wired and wireless SuperCharge fast charging technology. It runs on Android 10 with EMUI 10 skin on top.
Unlike other Huawei flagship smartphones in the past, the Mate 30 series is shipped with Huawei Mobile Services and you don’t get your usual Google apps including Playstore pre-installed. You can learn more in our first impressions post.
Apart from Mobile2Go, you could also find a couple of listings for the Mate 30 Pro on Lazada Malaysia. As usual, if you see an offer that’s too good to be true, it probably is. If a seller has no track record and is selling the device with a ridiculous discount, beware, this could be a fake item.
