Honor is currently running the Honor 20 Pro roadshow, with special deals available at the event currently being held at Sunway Pyramid from the 31st of August to the 1st of September 2019. They also officially launched the Honor Band 5, which has been eagerly-anticipated by many in the Malaysian market, with the fitness band being priced at RM149.
Besides an identical price with the Xiaomi Mi Band 4, the Honor Band 5 does have some similarities with Xiaomi’s popular fitness tracker—including a 0.95″ coloured AMOLED display on the device. There’s also the interesting ability to use the fitness tracker as a remote camera trigger for a paired smartphone.
However, the Honor Band 5 does not come with the Sp02 sensor that is seen on the Chinese variant. This is perhaps due to certification issues with the sensor, which measures the amount of oxygen in the wearer’s blood. Somewhat disappointing, although it still comes with a 24-hour heart rate sensor as well as Huawei’s TruSleep tracking.
As for the recently-launched Honor 20 Pro, the roadshow has some deals that provide some decent value for selected buyers. For the first 50 customers that purchase an Honor 20 Pro—an Honor Watch Magic, Honor Bluetooth Speaker, and an Honor Tripod Selfie Stick will be bundled as free gifts. For the 51st to the 200th customers, you’ll get a pair of Honor Flypods Lite headphones, and the Honor Band 5. Lastly, the 201st to 400th customers will get a free luggage set, along with the Honor Band 5.
In addition to that, shoppers who spend RM399 and above can enter a lucky draw and stand a chance to get an Honor Band 5, with 1 fitness tracker available every hour. At the end of every day, there will also be a lucky draw for an Honor 20 Lite smartphone.
As part of their Merdeka promotion, Honor is also following the following devices with deals (only available at the roadshow or select offline stores):
