If you like the current Mi 9T but want something more powerful than a Snapdragon 730 processor, the Pro version appears to be going to market very soon. According to reliable leakster, Roland Quandt, the Mi 9T Pro will be launching in Europe very soon and we expect it to be available in Malaysia as well.
A Dutch retailer which is said to be also a distributor for Xiaomi had already listed the Mi 9T Pro 64GB for 429 EUR (about RM2,022). Meanwhile, the 128GB version is priced at 479 EUR (about RM2,258). Of course, do expect Malaysian pricing to be significantly cheaper than the European market.
The specs are identical to the Redmi K20 Pro in China and it runs on a Snapdragon 855 processor. Another minor difference is that the K20 Pro is expected to utilise a Sony IMX586 48MP sensor instead of an IMX582 unit that’s found on the current Mi 9T. The difference is that the IMX586 is capable of shooting 4K videos in 60fps while the IMX582 can only shoot 4K up to 30fps. You still get a 13MP f/2.4 ultra-wide-angle camera and an 8MP f/2.4 telephoto camera with 2X optical zoom.
Mi 9T Pro sightings in Malaysia
The Mi 9T Pro is also expected to be released officially in Malaysia as well. Lowyat.net had managed to obtain a screenshot of DirectD’s teaser which indicates that the Mi 9T Pro official Malaysian set is arriving soon. DirectD is also an authorised Xiaomi dealer and they operate a physical Mi Store at 1 Utama shopping mall. The teaser which was posted on DirectD’s Instagram has been removed.
