TM appears to offer unlimited 50Mbps Unifi Fibre Broadband for less than RM100

Besides working on an immediate solution for Streamyx customers, TM appears to be offering more affordable unlimited broadband customers in fibre areas. At the moment, their cheapest option is the Unifi Basic plan that offers 30Mbps with 60GB of quota at RM79/month. If you need unlimited high-speed quota, it appears that they are now offering two new “upsized” options that are priced below RM100.

We stumbled upon what appears to be an offer by a reseller for a new “Unifi Upsizing Promo” that is running from 4th July until the end of this year. Available only for new customers, you can get 30Mbps with unlimited downloads for RM89/month. If you need faster speeds, you can add another RM10 to enjoy 50Mbps for downloads.

Both plans come with the same 10Mbps for uploads, and voice calls will be charged at a pay per use rate of 20 sen/minute. According to the details above, the plan is available via resellers, TMpoint and TAD (TMpoint Authorised Dealer). Interestingly, there’s a selection criteria which seems to target areas with low utilisation and growth.

The details above are not found on Unifi’s website and based on the watermark, this seems to come from Halo Telco. We’ve reached out to TM for clarification.

At RM89/month, this is a great step up for customers that want to stay connected without worrying about hitting their monthly 60GB data limit. Maxis also offers 30Mbps Fibre broadband at RM89/month but the plan offers 30Mbps for both downloads and uploads.

If you’re looking for another affordable alternative, there’s also Nex.Life that offers unlimited 30Mbps Fibre broadband plus an unlimited 4G LTE SIM for RM100.
