Google Pixel 4 XL renders reveal a total of 5 cameras and there’s no notch

The Pixel 4 series will be released later this year and recently Google had shared a teaser image of the device. For the longest time, Google has refrained from putting more than one camera at the back of its flagship Pixel smartphones. For 2019, it appears that their next flagship will come with not just two but three cameras at the rear.

Prolific leakster Steve H.Mcfly aka @Onleaks has shared a couple of high resolution renders of the larger Pixel 4 XL via Pricebaba. If you hate notches, you’ll be happy to know that Google is sticking to a more conventional “Full View” display that comes with thick forehead. As shown here, it still comes with a dual-selfie camera setup which is likely to be a main + wide-angle shooter.

Over at the rear, it also features a rounded cube-shaped camera bump that’s inspired by the Huawei Mate 20 series. Instead of a dual-camera setup, it is claimed that the Pixel 4 XL will come with a triple camera array. The secondary shooter is believed to be a telephoto lens instead of an ultra-wide-angle camera. For the third camera, it is a tiny sensor at the top and it could be a 3D Time of Flight (ToF) camera for better depth effects and AR applications.

On the right side, you’ll get the usual power and volume rocker controls and the bottom of the device comes with a single USB-C port that’s used for both charging and audio output. What’s noticeable is a down firing speaker grill and this tells us that the Pixel 4 XL will no longer feature dual-front facing speakers.

Another thing that’s missing is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and this suggests that the Pixel 4 XL might come with an in-display sensor on an AMOLED panel. In terms of specs, the device will run on the latest Snapdragon 855 processor and this time, it may come with up to 6GB of RAM. As what you would expect from Google, it will be running on the upcoming Android Q out of the box
