Digi introduces RM28 postpaid plan for persons with disabilities

Digi has introduced a new postpaid plan that offers 6GB of data for as low as RM28/month for differently-abled customers. This is in line with its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #10, which is to reduce inequalities as they continue to provide affordable plans for all customers across Malaysia.

Customers that have a valid OKU (Persons with Disabilities) card can enjoy a lifetime RM10 discount when they sign up for any Digi postpaid plan. All plans come with unlimited voice calls to all networks and this has been made available for PWD customers since 2012.

To subscribe, customers can sign up at any Digi Store with their original NRIC and OKU card. Third party registrations by family members and legal guardians are also permitted by providing the original NRIC or birth certificate, along with the original OKU card of the customer plus proof of legal guardianship of the person that’s registering.

According to Digi’s Head of Sustainability, Philip Ling, Mobile connectivity plans play an important role in encouraging social participation for the differently-abled, and they will continue to bring better, more personalised offers and related-inclusion programs for the PWD community. Digi also continues to work on tailoring its services to a wide range of customers at its touchpoints and community programs. In Digi Stores, there are express lanes and geek bar support that are prioritised for PWDs, senior citizens and pregnant women.
