Last month, Huawei had released the Nova 4 in Malaysia which offered a punch-hole display and a triple-camera setup. Now the Chinese smartphone brand is releasing a new version that’s called the Huawei Nova 4e. This is seen as a more affordable alternative to the Nova 4 and it’s coming to Malaysia as early as next week.

Huawei Malaysia has just posted a teaser on their Facebook page which indicates that the Nova 4e is arriving on the 14th March 2019. The post also confirms that the device will come with a 32MP selfie camera that comes with AI features.

We have also received an invite for a media event that’s happening next week, so do keep it locked on to SoyaCincau.com for the official pricing and availability details.

To recap, the Nova 4e is basically the same device as Huawei P30 Lite that’s sold for European markets. This is similar to last year’s Nova 3e which is identical to the Huawei P20 Lite. In terms of specs, the device is expected to come with a 6.15″ display and it comes with a 3,240mAh battery. Under the hood, the Nova 4e is expected to run on a mid-range Kirin 710 processor which is the same unit that’s powering the current Honor 8X and last year’s Nova 3i.

Based on its Chinese TENAA listing, the device will also come with a triple-camera setup and it has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Instead of a punch-hole display, the Nova 4e is likely to feature a dew-drop style notch as seen on Spigen’s Huawei P30 Lite case renders.

There are no pricing details yet but we are guessing that it could be going for less than RM1,500. The Huawei Nova 3e was released in Malaysia with a RM1,399 price tag.
