Samsung Galaxy M is coming soon to Malaysia as an online exclusive device

The Samsung Galaxy M series is coming to Malaysia very soon. These are Samsung’s new range of mid-range smartphones that offer a large display and a huge battery at a lower price point. Samsung Malaysia has just posted a teaser calling for registration of interest.

From the looks of it, the incoming device is the Samsung Galaxy M20 which was recently spotted on SIRIM’s database. According to Samsung Malaysia’s page, the device will be sold exclusively online, which means that you won’t be able to get it from their Samsung Experience stores or on ground retailers.

The Galaxy M20 comes with a 6.3″ Full HD+ display that has a V-shaped notched and it runs on a 14nm Exynos 7904 Octa-core processor. At the rear, it gets a dual-camera setup consisting of a 13MP f/1.9 main camera and a 5MP ultra-wide-angle shooter. The front comes with an 8MP f/2.0 selfie shooter.

Powering the M20 is a huge 5,000mAh battery that charges via USB-C. It has a 15W fast charger that claims to provide up to 3 hours of video playback with just a quick 10-minute charge.

We still don’t know the Galaxy M20’s local pricing at the moment but it should be going for less than RM1,000. In Indonesia, the Galaxy M20 with 3GB RAM + 32GB storage is currently selling for 2,799,000 IDR (about RM806). In India, the same device is priced at 10,990 INR (about RM632) for 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 12,990 INR (about RM747) for 4GB RAM + 64GB storage.

If you’re interested, you can register your interest on Samsung Malaysia’s website.

Apart from the Galaxy M20, Samsung Malaysia is also introducing its affordable Galaxy A30 and A50 in our market very soon. Both offer a 6.4″ Full HD+ display and a 4,000mAh battery. The Galaxy A30 is priced at RM799 while the Galaxy A50 is going for RM1,199.
