SOCAR offers 50% off for bookings in Penang

Car-sharing provider, SOCAR, has expanded to Penang and this is their third location in Malaysia after the Klang Valley and Johor. If you’re residing in Penang, SOCAR is running a promo where you can get 50% off on your bookings for a limited time only.

To get this offer, just enter the promo code “CCC19” in the My Promotion tab and you can add the promo when you make a booking. This offer is only applicable with a minimum booking of 9 hours in Penang and the discount has a maximum cap of RM100. It is available from now until 24th February 2019.

In Penang, SOCAR has a number of zones on both the Penang island as well as Seberang Perai. Their current fleet in Penang includes the Axia, Myvi, Vios, City, Altis, BR-V, HR-V and Mini Cooper. You can book a Perodua Axia from as low as RM8.48 per hour or RM101.76 per day during weekdays.

To recap, SOCAR offers a key-less experience where the registration, booking and even unlocking of the car is done through the SOCAR app. Petrol is included for free and you can use the petrol card that’s included in the vehicle.

SOCAR provides free mileage of 20KM for each hour of booking (240KM per day) and if you exceed this allocation, there will be an excess charge of RM0.25 per KM. For first time users, there’s a registration fee of RM50 which will be charged together with your first booking.

You can give SOCAR a try by downloading the app here.
