Samsung may not be the first to release a full screen smartphone with a cut out camera hole

The Galaxy A8s is expected to be the first Samsung smartphone to feature an all-screen display with a tiny cut-out-hole for the front camera. This allows the device to have an edge to edge display without having a visible notch.

Now it turns out that Samsung has a new challenger and they are also releasing a similar device next month.

According to leakster, @UniverseIce, Huawei will be releasing their first smartphone that features a hole on the display. There’s no name for the device yet but from the teaser, the camera hole appears to be similar to Samsung’s Galaxy A8s where it’s also placed on the top left corner.

Since Huawei is only launching their new flagship next year, we are guessing that this could be a new model under the Nova series.

The Samsung Galaxy A8s is expected to be announced sometime in December, so it will be interesting to see who will be first to introduce this type of an all-screen device.

Would you prefer the traditional notch or this all-screen approach with a cut-out-hole for the camera? Let us know in the comments below.
