TM appoints Imri Mokhtar as acting Group CEO

We’ve just received an update that TM‘s current acting Group CEO (AGCEO), Datuk Bazlan Osman has resigned. He took the leading role after the resignation of the previous CEO, Dato Sri Mohammed Shazalli Ramly, in June this year. He has also given his notice of resignation as the Executive Director (ED) of TM which will take effect on 28 February 2019.

According to the announcement on Bursa Malaysia, Datuk Bazlan will be replaced by Imri Mokhtar. Imri will undertake the role of Acting Group CEO and COO effective today.



Prior to his new appointment, Imri is the Executive Vice President for unifi and he’s responsible for TM’s converged services covering phone, broadband, mobile, TV and WiFi. He started his career with TM in 1996 and he had joined McKinsey & Company, serving clients in the financial and telecommunications sector.  Before Imri rejoined TM in 2005, he had also served at Astro as the head of interactive TV business.
