At the top of Samsung’s plethora of devices, you have the Samsung Galaxy Note and S-series. But what if you’re after a budget option? This is where J-series comes in, and this time they’ve extended their family with the arrival of the Galaxy J4+ and J6+.

At first glance, you may not be able to differentiate between the Galaxy J4+ and the J6+. This is because both of these handsets are very much the same when it comes to their size and some of their hardware. Both features a similar 6-inch HD+ Infinity display (1,480x 720 pixels) and runs on a quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor clocked at 1.4GHz. Keeping their lights on is a 3,300mAh battery.

However, there are few things that separate them apart. The Galaxy J6+ comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage while the Galaxy J4+ has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.

Besides that, the J6+ comes with a face recognition feature and a side mounted fingerprint scanner, like the ones we saw on the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018). But unlike the J6+, there’s no fingerprint scanner found on the J4+. But you can always unlock your phone via the face recognition feature.

The two handsets also diverge in terms of cameras. The Galaxy J6+ gets a 13MP+5MP dual camera setup on the rear, which supports live focus and 8MP front camera for selfies. The J4+, on the other hand, has a more modest setup with a single 13MP camera on the rear and 5MP camera at the front.

The biggest difference is, of course, their pricing. The Galaxy J6+ carries a price tag of RM999 while the Galaxy J4+ is priced at RM699.  Both devices are now available for purchase at all Samsung Experience stores and on Samsung Malaysia’s Online Store.
