SOCAR BMW 330e

Want to drive in style this Hari Raya weekend? SOCAR Malaysia has added its most premium ride yet with the arrival of the BMW 330e. This plug-in hybrid is now available for booking and you can drive it from RM42 per hour.

To recap, SOCAR is a car sharing platform where you can book and unlock a car directly from your smartphone. It’s entirely keyless and the SOCAR app doubles up as the car’s remote control.

The BMW 330e can be booked at RM42/hour or RM420/day from Monday to Friday. If you plan on renting this on the weekends, it will cost more at RM48/hour or RM480/day. Unlike typical car rentals, a petrol card is included and you can drive up to 30KM per hour or 300KM per day. Excess mileage will be charged at RM0.25 per KM.

At the time of posting, it appears that the plug-in hybrid vehicle is only available at Menara Ilham (Ampang Park), Atria Shopping Centre and Bangsar Shopping Centre. The SOCAR fleet currently includes the Perodua Axia, New Myvi, Alza, VW Polo, Toyota Vios, Honda City, HRV and Mini Cooper. You can learn more about SOCAR in our previous announcement post.

For those planning on renting long term, SOCAR currently has a Raya Pass where you can rent a car with 1,500KM worth of petrol from less than RM300 for 5 days. If you haven’t tried SOCAR yet, you can download the app here.
