If you’re looking for a different kind of flagship, the LG V30+ is finally coming to Malaysia. This is LG’s flagship smartphone that features an 18:9 FullVision OLED display and a dual-camera setup with a f/1.6 Crystal Clear Lens. It was first introduced during IFA 2017 about seven months ago.
Some online retailers on Lazada Malaysia are offering pre-orders for the LG V30+ at RM3,199 with stocks expected to arrive on 11 April 2018. Meanwhile, another retailer Mobile2Go, is offering it slightly cheaper at RM3,099. These are official units with 1-year official warranty by LG Malaysia.
UPDATE: Mobile2Go has deleted its original Facebook post. In their latest update, they are also offering the LG V30+ at RM3,199.
UPDATE: DirectD is also offering the LG V30+ at RM3,199 with stocks expected to arrive on 12 April.
To recap on the specs, the LG V30+ has a 6.0″ QuadHD+ display that pushes a resolution of 2880×1440. Like the Galaxy S9 series, it doesn’t come with a notch but the display is maximised with a slimmer forehead and chin. For Malaysia, the V30+ is available in Black and Blue.
The V30+ runs on a Snapdragon 835 processor that’s mated to 4GB of RAM. Since this is the + model, it comes with a larger 128GB of UFS 2.0 storage which is still expandable via microSD. The dual-camera system has been improved with a 16MP f/1.6 main camera with OIS, EIS and Hybrid AF assist, while the secondary 13MP f/1.9 unit offers wide-angle shots with less distortion compared to the V20. For selfies, the front gets a 5MP f/2.2 camera. In the audio department, the V30+ gets a HiFi Quad DAC that’s tuned by B&O Play. Powering the device is a 3,300mAh battery that charges via USB-C and it still has a headphone jack.
