OnePlus 6 will come with 8GB RAM and double the storage

With every OnePlus device, you can expect top-notch hardware with great performance. For the upcoming OnePlus 6, they have just dropped more clues and we can now confirm its processor, RAM and storage.

According to their update on Weibo, the OnePlus 6 will definitely run on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and it’s still mated to 8GB of RAM.

Instead of hitting a maximum of 128GB, the next flagship will come with a whopping 256GB of storage. This 8GB RAM + 256GB storage combo will likely be their high-spec model and there should be an affordable low-spec alternative which could come with 6GB RAM along with 64GB or 128GB of storage. In case you missed it, the OnePlus 6 will also feature a “notch” display and it will still retain a headphone jack.

To recap, the current OnePlus 5T was released in Malaysia at RM2,449 (6GB RAM + 64GB storage) and RM2,749 (8GB RAM + 128GB storage). Over the years, the price tag for OnePlus flagships have increased steadily and it’s double the price of its original OnePlus One model that was released for as low as RM1,299. With plenty of affordable flagship options in the RM1,800-RM2,500 range, it’s hard to consider OnePlus as affordable. It’s slowly becoming a premium device but without the extravagant marketing budget.
