Jabra’s answer to the Apple AirPods is now available for pre-order

Jabra‘s got a brand new pair of wireless earbuds called the Jabra Elite 65t and you can pre-order them right now. But, unlike normal pre-orders, the company is actually encouraging you to give them a try out first before placing your pre-orders.

The Elite 65t is designed to be an improved version of the company’s previous truly wireless earbuds, the Elite Sport, especially when it comes to the vocal experience in calls and music. This is supposed to mean that it’ll deliver superior audio quality.

That’s great because despite this improvement in audio quality, the Elite 65t is actually more affordable than the Elite Sport when it launched last year. However, this cost saving comes at a price — the Elite 65t doesn’t have fitness tracking capabilities as it lacks a heart-rate monitor.

Still, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing especially if what you’re looking for is just a pair of truly wireless in-ear headphones for music and calls. The Elite 65t features a “four microphone solution” with an “optimised acoustic chamber” which enables “noise suppression” and “voice enhancement” for a variety of different environments. Sounds like a good set of features.

Battery life is rated at up 5 hours per charge of the earbuds with the case capable of topping things up to a claimed listening time of up to 15 hours.

As good as all these specs sound, the most crucial thing with in-ear headphones is the fit and if you’re like me, it’s not easy to find one that will fit your ears. That’s why I think it’s great that Jabra will let you test them out first at major retailers like All IT Hypermart (IPC Shopping Centre, Digital Mall, Suria KLCC) and Harvey Norman (IPC Shopping Centre, Sunway Pyramid, Pavilion) before placing your order.

Those interested can pre-order these headphones from the 15th of March to the 8th of April 2018 at Harvey Norman, All IT Hypermarket and online at 11street.my for its RRP of RM799. There are also special pre-order gifts depending on who you pre-order from:

All IT Hypermart: Free Energizer 10,000 mAh powerbank worth RM139
Harvey Norman: Free Sandisk Ultra Flair 32GB Flash drive worth RM64
11street.my: RM50 store credit (redeemable on your next purchase)

The Elite 65t will come in two colours Black/Copper and Light/Neutral. Pre-ordered devices sometime in early April 2018.
