Xiaomi’s “Full Screen” Redmi 5 with 32GB storage now slashed below RM600

Xiaomi’s Redmi series is always known for offering more hardware for your money. With the Redmi 5 and 5 Plus, now everyone can own a Full Screen or 18:9 display smartphone at an affordable price. To make it even more enticing, Xiaomi Malaysia has announced a price cut for its higher-spec Redmi 5 model and it’s now RM80 cheaper than before.

The Redmi 5 with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage was first introduced with a RM679 price tag and starting from today, it can be yours at only RM599.

To recap on the specs, the Redmi 5 has a 5.7” HD+ 720p display and it is powered by a 14nm Snapdragon 450 processor. It has a 12MP main camera while the front gets a 5MP selfie shooter. Also included is a 3,300mAh battery which charges via microUSB.

The Redmi 5 3GB RAM and 32GB at RM599 is available on the official Mi Store on Lazada Malaysia. You can get it in Black, Blue or Gold.

If you’re looking for something even more affordable, the base 2GB RAM + 16GB storage model is also available at RM499. Apart from the RAM and storage, the rest of the device is the same as the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage model.
