ASUS ZenFone 3 and Zenfone 4 series get Android Oreo update this month

If you’re using a ZenFone 3 or ZenFone 4, ASUS has started rolling out its latest Android 8.0 Oreo. This includes 5 variants of the ZenFone 3 that were launched two years ago.

Earlier last week, ASUS Malaysia had announced the availability of its Android Oreo update for the ZenFone 3 (ZE520KL and ZE552KL) and ZenFone 4 (ZE554KL).

Now, ASUS Malaysia has extended its updates to the ZenFone 3 Laser (ZC551KL), ZenFone 3 Deluxe (XS550KL) and ZenFone 3 Zoom (ZE553KL). The ZenFone 3 Deluxe will get its updates over the air by the middle of this month, while the ZenFone 3 Laser and ZenFone 3 Zoom will be getting their turn by end of this month.

The Android Oreo update is being pushed out in stages so it might take a while before it reaches your device. If you haven’t received any notifications yet, you may check manually under Settings > About > System Update.
