The Galaxy S9 has the best display and it’s indistinguishable from perfect

Samsung really doesn’t pull any punches when it comes to their smartphone displays, and they’ve been making steady improvements over their flagship models. Needless to say, their latest flagship the Samsung Galaxy S9 has been deemed to a display so good that it’s indistinguishable from perfect.

One of the few devices that have been able to steal the limelight from Samsung’s phones is the Apple iPhone X, which in itself features an OLED screen that is made by Samsung. But according to DisplayMate, the Samsung Galaxy S9 sports colour accuracy so perfect that it’s “visually indistinguishable from perfect.” That’s saying something.

Aside from this, the Galaxy S9 also has a 20% higher brightness over the Galaxy S8 in high brightness mode, reaching 1,130 nits of brightness when in bright sunlight. This puts the Galaxy S9 at true Mobile HDR certification like the Galaxy Note 8, and to top it off, the device has the lowest brightness and colour shifts when viewed at different angles for a smartphone.

If this already seems pretty amazing, we can’t imagine what the next iteration of Galaxy phone will have for a screen, but until then, check out our first impressions on Samsung’s latest devices.
