Nokia’s first dual-camera Android One smartphone appears ahead of MWC 2018

HMD Global will be announcing a couple of Nokia smartphones just before Samsung’s Unpacked event. With less than two weeks to go, serial leakster @evleaks has revealed two new Nokia models and one of it appears to be their first Android One smartphone with dual-cameras.

Nokia 7+

The device is expected to be called as the Nokia 7+ and it appears to be an upgraded version of the Nokia 7 that was launched in China. Over at the back, you’ll find a dual-camera that uses ZEISS optics. If you take a closer look at the bottom, there’s an Android One logo just like the Xiaomi Mi A1.

If we turn our attention to the front, the forehead and chin do appear thinner than the standard Nokia 7, and it could be a 6″ screen that pushes an 18:9 FullHD+ resolution.

In terms of specs, it is speculated to run on a Snapdragon 660 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The rear camera is said to be a 12MP + 13MP camera combo, while the front gets a high resolution 16MP shooter with Tetracell technology.

Nokia 1

HMD Global appears to be also launching an entry-level device that’s called the Nokia 1. It looks like a typical budget smartphone with colourful shells on the back. There’s not much info on the device at the moment but it could be running on an ultra-light Go edition of Android Oreo.

The Nokia MWC 2018 event is taking place on 25 February at 4:00PM in Barcelona, which is at 11:00PM Malaysian time. We’ll be on location so stay tuned to us for the latest updates.
