Seems that Google‘s Pixel 2 phones can’t catch a break, with the latest problem with the smartphone being the cameras behaving rather oddly when presented with LED lights.
Previously, it was reported that the Pixel 2 phones were suffering from a washed out screen and display artifacts, burn-in issues, mysterious crackling noises and even the inability to register taps, and now issues with the camera.
According to several user accounts, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL cameras tend to produce flickering and banding when LED lighting is in view. One user claims that both the front and rear-facing cameras are affected, irrespective of whether it’s in photo or video mode. You’ll be able to see it for yourself in the video below:

The original Google Pixel phone also had issues with its camera, due to the cover glass generating a “halo” effect that tended to make its way to almost every video and photo taken with the phone.
This is pretty bad considering the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL’s prime selling point is their cameras, and while Google has been informed of the issue, we don’t know yet what sort of measures they will be taking to fix the problem.
